In 2011, the former “Behind Bars” actress Katy Karrenbauer was in the jungle camp herself.
Today she is a “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” viewer – and a little annoyed.
Berlin – 13 years ago, actress Katy Karrenbauer (61) was in the Australian bush and experienced the RTL adventure Jungle Camp herself.
She is still a fan of the show today and eagerly follows the IBES candidates on their hero's journey on television.
Nevertheless, the 61-year-old has a lot to complain about.
“I was already annoyed on day two”: Katy Karrenbauer on jungle camp trouble
Day twelve in the jungle camp and acting icon Heinz Hoenig (72) had to leave the RTL show for medical reasons.
No one was thrown out of the format due to the viewer voting, but the moderators Sonja Zietlow (55) and Jan Köppen (40) announced the camper with the fewest votes - this time it would actually have been Kim Virginia (28).
Katy Karrenbauer has a clear opinion about the former “Are You The One?” candidate.
“I find Kim very stressful.
These constant attacks that are always about the same thing,” said the actress in an interview with

.
But how does Katy Karrenbauer feel about the number of reality TV participants in this year's season and does this make the jungle camp too trashy?
No, says the Berliner by choice, because there are also influencers who she finds quite entertaining, such as TikToker Twenty4Tim (23).
Where did reality TV stars Kim Virginia and Mike Heiter meet?
Kim Virginia and Mike Heiter were participants together in the RTL+ format “Are You The One?” in 2023, where they quickly struck up a relationship with each other.
But there was also early friction between the couple - a constant back and forth. After the show, the influencers announced during the reunion show that they had not become a couple, even though they had continued to date for a while.
In the jungle camp they met again for the first time in a TV format.
“Jungle camp fan from the start”: Karrenbauer doesn’t think the RTL show is too trashy
Although the actress is annoyed by one or two jungle camp candidates, she still tunes in to this day.
She doesn't think much of the criticism of the RTL series.
“The jungle camp is trash television and the very last thing, they said every morning.
But everyone was still watching.
Man is a voyeur.
Many react to themselves with such formats,” explains Katy Karrenbauer in an interview.

One thing is definitely certain: the young reality TV stars and influencers know only too well how to stay in the conversation.
In Tuesday's episode, for example, jungle campers Kim Virginia and Twenty4Tim openly chatted about how they would like to jump into bed with DSDS veteran Dieter Bohlen (69).
