Interviewed on BFMTV on January 31 and on RTL two days before, Sara Forestier voiced her support for farmers.
The twice Caesarized actress supports the idea that the State is able to protect its agriculture as it protects its culture, by taking strong measures.
“The French cultural exception was not achieved with circumvention measures
,” she explains.
“Mr. Attal spoke of French agricultural exception, these are compelling words.
Farmers don't want any more blah blah.

And the 37-year-old actress offers solutions
: “The heart of the problem is that farmers do not want to live on aid, they want to live on their income.
We need floor prices, we must prohibit unfair imports, we must control margins.
» she lists.
“French cultural exception is a fancy word to talk about a protectionism that doesn’t speak its name
,” says the actress renowned for her outspokenness.
“The French state decided to protect its culture, and it did so.

She proposes taking a tiny part of the price of agricultural products and placing this money in a common fund which would be used to solely promote French agricultural production, as is done in the cinema, where part of the ticket price is donated to a fund in support of the production of French films.
“I'm not saying that this is what we should do, but I am saying that we can do it because we are doing it for the culture,” she adds.
We are able to put in place systems where we intervene in the economic model to protect a sector.
We are all concerned: France is an agricultural country, all our ancestors are farmers,”
she recalls with conviction.

On a highway in Seine-et-Marne, followed by a load of croissants that she distributed to breeders, she spoke to encourage them to
“not give up”
until they have obtained measures concrete actions of the government.

On social networks, artists are also showing their support, such as the comedian duo Bodin.
For thirty years, the two men have played Maria Bodin, 87 years old, and her son Christian, 50 years old, a slightly simple farmer who lives with his despotic mother.
On Facebook, the two actors posted a message to support farmers.
“We, Maria and Christian Bodin, the peasants, the farmers, the breeders, we see them doing it, we live nearby, we are part of their family
,” they continue before recalling the working conditions they endure:
“ Most of them work like crazy, 365 days a year, from evening to morning and from morning to evening, to earn coins.
The duo ends up encouraging breeders and farmers not to give in:
“You're right!
It's you who work like dogs to make the world eat... So it's high time that the world realized it!”
