Munich - S-Bahn traffic at Munich Central Station came to a standstill on Wednesday evening (January 31) after a 55-year-old tore a garbage can from its anchorage and threw it onto the track.

Shortly after the crime, police officers met the man on the central platform and temporarily arrested him.

This resulted in delays, cancellations and diversions of the trains.

A witness also observed that the man had previously thrown the foot of a construction fence onto the subway tracks.
