A man was injured in a rear-end collision on the B2 near Spatzenhausen and had to be taken to hospital.

His car later caught fire.

Spatzenhausen - On Wednesday evening around 6 p.m. there was a rear-end collision on the B2 near the Waltersberg junction.

A 26-year-old from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district, who was driving a VW Up, overlooked the brake lights of a VW bus in front and crashed into the rear.

The 26-year-old was injured and had to be transported by ambulance to the accident clinic in Murnau.

The occupants of the VW bus were uninjured.

There was extensive damage to both vehicles.

The fire brigade from Spatzenhausen secured the scene of the accident and caught the leaking operating materials from the VW Up.
