The project consisted of the renovation of the ground floor for the installation of a reception adapted to accessibility standards, but also offices, changing rooms and the refectory, as well as the fitting out of two premises intended in the kennel and in the physical exercise of the agents.

A 40 m² extension was also created to house the new urban surveillance center (CSU).

The renovated Carrières-sous-Poissy police station accommodates 11 municipal police officers, 3 public highway surveillance officers (ASVP), and 4 security officers from school points.

In the presence of Valérie Pécresse, the president of the Ile-de-France region who financed 225,000 euros of the 1.243 million euros of the work, the city presented its video protection deployment plan.

21 PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras equipped with 360° shots and the VPI system (license plate visualization) will soon make up the city park.

“This plan must make it possible to prevent harmful behavior, anticipate emergency situations, reduce the risk of disturbing public order and, if necessary, have the clues necessary for investigations,” explains Françoise Méry, deputy mayor in charge of the public security.

The cost of this deployment, carried out with the Seine & Yvelines Numérique union, amounts to 683,000 euros, a quarter of which is subsidized by the Region.

Since 2020, the municipality has strengthened its staff on the ground with 19 agents including 11 municipal police officers with a dog brigade.

“We are more than ever mobilized to guarantee each quarry resident their right to tranquility and to enforce the law on public roads,” concludes Eddie Aït, whose budget allocated to his municipal police amounted to 888,517.62 euros (mass salary included) in 2023.
