An armed man is holding several people hostage at the "Procter & Gamble" factory in northwestern Turkey - the Turkish news agency "Demiroren" reported this evening (Thursday).
According to the report, the gunman entered the factory and took part of the staff hostage, this in protest of the war waged by the State of Israel in Gaza.
"An unknown man carrying a gun entered the factory in the industrial area of Kocaeli district," the Turkish news agency said, adding: "The police were called to the scene and are trying to convince him to surrender."
At the moment, the Turkish authorities have not yet issued an official statement about the incident.
