A tireless work of undermining.
On Tuesday January 30, the Saint-Nazaire police carried out a coordinated operation on a network of deal points in the sensitive districts of Prézégat and La Trébale.
The police intervention, supported by the new CRS 82 brigade, took place at the beginning of the afternoon, and led to the arrest of four people, the fines of two customers, as well as the seizure of more than two kilograms of cannabis and around thirty doses of cocaine.
Four knives and firearm ammunition of different calibers were also found and seized.
This operation is part of the national strategy of harassment of drug sales points, with the aim of shelling and discouraging criminal networks.

Nearly 70 police officers were mobilized in this operation.
The CRS 82 was notably assisted by a canine brigade and a motorcycle brigade, specifies the Saint-Nazaire police station.

Canine flair
The intervention of the canine units proved particularly useful during the coordinated action of the police.
The reaction of a police dog specializing in the fight against drug trafficking, smelling something suspicious on the landing of an apartment, allowed his human colleagues to search the home.
The coordinated police operation notably mobilized a canine unit to support law enforcement in identifying drug caches.

The animal's nose paid off: the accommodation turned out to be an annex used by local drug traffickers.
In addition to drugs, the police discovered a reserve of ammunition there as well as packaging and weighing equipment.
Two “nurses”, who had made the accommodation available to the traffickers, were among those arrested.
Created on the model of the CRS 8, renowned for its hypermobility and the experience of its personnel, the CRS 82 brigade was deployed last November.
Based in Saint-Herblain, on the outskirts of Nantes, the unit's mission is to increase actions against drug trafficking in the Greater West.
