After the return of Russell Crowe, Sanremo is preparing to embrace another Hollywood star, John Travolta.
The "actor who made entire generations dance" will be at the Ariston in the second evening of Wednesday 7 February, Amadeus announces, miming the moves of Saturday Night Fever, in a video shot in the theater gallery broadcast on Tg1.
Seventy years old next February 18th, nominated for an Oscar for the 1977 musical, Travolta is a character particularly dear to Amadeus, who in an interview some time ago revealed that it was watching Saturday Night Fever that struck him, making him understand what he wanted to do when he grew up.
The Grease interpreter has already been to the Ariston in 2006, at the festival hosted by Giorgio Panariello with Ilary Blasi and Victoria Cabello, who had the task of interviewing the super guest.
During the interview the actress complained of discomfort in her feet and Travolta offered to massage them: an image that ended up in the annals of the festival.
As always, Sanremo will act as a launch showcase for the great Rai fiction: the protagonists of the top titles are expected on stage, starting with Sabrina Ferilli, who is preparing to return to the screens of Viale Mazzini with Gloria, the series by Fausto Brizzi at away from February 19th.
There will also be Leo Gassmann, who lends his face and voice to Franco Califano in the biopic airing on February 11 (and perhaps will perform some of Caliph's songs).
And again Edoardo Leo, who we will see in the fiction Il Clandestino, also on Rai1;
Claudio Gioè, protagonist of the third season of Makari from February 18th;
the two protagonists of Mameli, Riccardo De Rinaldis Santorelli and Amedeo Gullà (Nino Bixio).
There will be no shortage of the cast of the fourth season of Mare Fuori, already a success on RaiPlay and coming to Rai2, and Luca Argentero who is hitting the ratings with his Doctor Fanti in Doc 3.
The puzzle of the guests of Sanremo 2024 is thus being completed: Marco Mengoni, winner of the last edition with Due Vite, on the first episode of Tuesday 6 February, of which he will also be co-host;
Wednesday 7 February Giovanni Allevi, who will return to perform live on the piano after a long absence due to illness, and Giorgia (also co-host), who will sing E poi, presented in Sanremo thirty years ago, in 1994;
Thursday 8 February Russell Crowe and Eros Ramazzotti with Terra Promessa, the song that forty years ago saw him establish himself among the Nuove Proposte;
Saturday 10th for the final Roberto Bolle and Gigliola Cinquetti, who will re-present Non Ho l'Età, 60 years later.
The artists who will perform on the Costa Smeralda ship have also been announced: Tedua (on the 6th and 10th), Bob Sinclair (on the 7th), Bresh (on the 8th), Gigi D'Agostino (on the 9th).
On the stage of the Arena Suzuki, in Piazza Colombo, not far from the Ariston, will be Lazza (on the 6th), Rosa Chemical (on the 7th), Paola&Chiara (on the 8th), Arisa (on the 9th) and Tananai (on the 10th) .
