Flintsbach - On the evening of January 28, 2024, a search operation for a missing 58-year-old man was initiated in Flintsbach, Rosenheim district.
The man was found dead that same night in the steep area of the Riesenkopf.
The Rosenheim criminal police have started the investigation.

On Sunday evening, around 9:25 p.m., the man from Brannenburg was reported missing by his partner.
He had previously set out on a mountain tour in the area of the large giant's head in Flintsbach.
“The search measures that were initiated immediately were carried out under the direction of the Brannenburg police station with the support of the Alpine task force, a police helicopter and forces from the Brannenburg mountain rescue service,” says the police press release.
Despite intensive efforts, the missing person could only be found and recovered dead in the northern area of the large giant's head in the early hours of January 29th.
