The Prosecutor's Office closed the cases against Walla and Yediot Ahronoth in cases 2000 and 4000 •

Decisions regarding the corporations suspected in the 4000 and 2000 cases:

Today (Thursday) the prosecutor's office entered into an agreement with the Bezeq company to terminate the proceedings conditional on conditions, according to the Securities Law, in which it will admit the facts constituting the offense of misleading report that it published and pay NIS 800,000 to the state treasury.

As long as she complies with the terms of the settlement, no indictment will be filed against her in the case.

At the same time, the attorney's office decided to close the investigation files against the companies Walla Communications (Case 4000) and Yediot Ahronoth (Case 2000) after the claims of the companies' attorneys at the hearing held for them were examined.

The Bezeq company and the Walla company were suspected of crimes within the 4000 case. This, due to the actions and criminal thinking of Shaul Elovitch, who was the controlling owner of the Bezeq group and an officer in the companies, and was prosecuted for the offense of bribing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a reporting offense and an offense of obstruction of justice.

Bezeq was also suspected due to the actions of Stella Handler who was the CEO of the company.

Among the considerations that led to the settlement, say the prosecutor's office, was taken into account the fact that Alovich and Handler, the officers who were involved in the acts, no longer serve in the company, and that the control of the company changed hands.

Evidence presented by Bezeq that the company is working to implement an internal enforcement program and updated the procedures in aspects relevant to the events was also taken into account.

In addition, as mentioned, the attorney's office informed the companies Walla and Yediot Ahronoth that the investigation files in their case were closed, after examining the allegations in the hearing and considering the totality of the circumstances, including those that relate to the public interest - the complexity resulting from the parallel management of the main case, and the delay until a decision is made on the matter.

It will be mentioned that alongside these corporations, companies from the Eurocom group were summoned to the hearing.

Eurocom Holdings, which is in liquidation, has long since (March 2022) signed a plea agreement with the Taxation and Economic Prosecutor's Office as part of the Bezeq case, which is ongoing at the District Court in Tel Aviv, according to which it will plead guilty to the charges, including the charge relating to Case 4000, and pay a fine of NIS 400,000. The settlement has not yet been approved by the court.

The main case against the corporate officers in the 4000 and 2000 cases, Shaul Elovich and Arnon Moses, is currently being conducted in the Jerusalem District Court.
