No one has set foot there since it closed around ten years ago.
The reopening of the historic footbridge at Massy-Palaiseau station (Essonne) is finally complete.
We do not yet know the date or timetable for the project, but “the political will” is there.
This is what Valérie Pécresse, the president (LR and Libres!) of the regional council, publicly announced, thus responding to a local expectation supported by the municipality and by user associations.
The project was included in the “major poles” component of the CPER (2023-2027 State-region Plan contract) voted on last December.

It is especially located near the platforms served by the RER C and the T12, the new tram-train inaugurated on December 9.
By the end of 2026, the date of entry into service of line 18 of the Grand Paris express, it will be located just above the future metro currently being built by the Société du Grand Paris (SGP).
