A mystery surrounding the reserve service of the candidate of the Labor Party and Blue and White in Kiryat Gat. The day after the terrible massacre, he uploaded a picture with a uniform. The IDF claims that he was called up to the reserves only in 2014

Attorney Yakir Schindler is running for the mayorship of Kiryat Gat in the "Executive Seats" list united to the Labor Party led by Merav Michaeli and Blue and White led by Benny Gantz, according to data from the Ministry of the Interior.

On October 8, the day after the terrible massacre, he published a post on Facebook with a picture of himself in Tza uniform and what looks like a rifle strap with the inscription - "I'm going out to defend my house, our house, to avenge the blood of our daughters and sons, parents, grandparents, and I promise you that we will not let go of the monsters who did this until we destroy them, until the mission Be done, until we win!"

The post became viral and received hundreds of affirming responses, in the days when the entire nation of Israel was looking for heroes to cling to in the war against the terrorists.

Schindler put up a number of other publications with an IDF uniform in which he stated that he had returned home for a good shower and time with his wife, and at the end of November he announced that he had finished his reserve service.

At the meeting of the Kiryat Gat city council, it was revealed that Schindler applied for discounts and benefits for reserve service and was denied. Aviram Dehari , the mayor of Kiryat Gat, claimed that Schindler was not at all in the lists that the Ministry of Defense passed on the reserve servants in the Iron Swords War, "You say you were in the reserves and you don't appear in the lists of the Ministry of Defense, I don't know where you were.

As far as the army is concerned, you were not in the reserves."

Walla!'s check with IDF officials reveals that the man was called up for reserve service only in 2014.

The mayoral candidate refuses to be interviewed

Following the application of Walla!

To interview the candidate for mayor and to hear about his military service in the reserve, was refused.

And his lawyer Michael Rabivo, sent a letter in which Ben Hiter wrote, "My client serves actively in the reserves and even volunteered for the reserves in the Iron Swords War since he was over 40 years old."

Dear Schindler's response, as given by his brother and advisor Roy Schindler

- "These are unnecessary and disconnected claims by political opponents who know that I am the leading candidate in all the polls.

Every week something new is accused or slandered against me or the members of the performanceists, we intend to continue concentrating on our campaign, we Very close to the change and replacement of the mayor.

Beyond that, this is an issue that is under legal treatment and therefore I cannot add anything on the matter. The public knows very well who I am and what is the nature of my contribution and commitment to the State of Israel."
