The citizens of Harlaching want a subway between Max-Weber-Platz and Grünwald.

Taking the subway through Harlaching to Grünwald - that's what the citizens of Munich's 18th district dream about.
And the people of Grünwald should also pay.
The district politicians are now exploring the opportunities for this plan.
If you want to take public transport to Harlaching, you can hardly avoid tram line 25.
The trams are therefore full and the snowfall this winter has made the weak points of the tram line clear to all residents.
That's why citizens want a subway line to Harlaching.
The subway is extremely reliable and is unaffected by rush hour traffic, and it is also quiet and low-maintenance, according to the reasoning in a letter to the responsible district committee (BA) Untergiesing-Harlaching.
For older people and those in wheelchairs, getting on the tram is a problem anyway.
“Sometimes ancient dinosaur trams come with steep steps,” they observed.
More and more people are feeling this through the Harlaching Clinic.
In addition, not only residents and neighbors would benefit, but the entire city.
Mangfallplatz would have ultimately shown how well public transport options with parking and ride options are used.
That's why expanding the subway network is exactly the right way to relieve the growing city of Munich and its southern surroundings from car traffic.
A connection from Grünwald to Max-Weber-Platz would be ideal.
According to the citizens' ideas, the municipality of Grünwald could then contribute financially.
The BA likes the idea and would now like to have these considerations examined.
Grünwald should also be asked for a statement on financing matters.
However, the district politicians would prefer an extension of subway line 1 instead of building a new line.
