The police are asking for any relevant information, especially about suspicious people or vehicles that may be connected to the crimes.

Memmingen - The first break-in occurred in the afternoon between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

An unknown perpetrator broke into the ground floor of an apartment building on Benninger Strasse in Memmingen.

The perpetrator pried open a patio door and stole jewelry worth around 5,000 euros from the apartment.

The break-in caused property damage amounting to around 1,000 euros.

Attempted burglary: resident rudely woken from sleep

Also on Benninger Strasse, around 6 p.m. on the same day, two residents were rudely woken from their sleep when they suddenly heard suspicious noises coming from the front door of their apartment building.

There, a previously unknown perpetrator tried to use a lever tool to force the door open.

A short time after the perpetrator left the door, they noticed the fresh lever marks and called the police.

There was an estimated damage of 800 euros.

The investigators from the Memmingen criminal police do not rule out a connection between these two cases.
