Work continues on establishing the academic system in Caivano.
The Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, held a meeting today in Naples - in the Suor Orsola Benincasa university headquarters - with the rectors, the government commissioner Fabio Ciciliano and the extraordinary commissioner Filippo Dispenza.
The meeting, as far as we know, served to update the status of the works for the arrival of university courses in the Neapolitan town.
The Mur made 6 million euros available through the so-called Caivano decree, approved last September: 5 million were allocated to the regeneration of buildings and spaces to be used for educational and training activities thanks to the support of the Campanian universities, the other million for orientation and psychological support.
The commissioner structure has identified a series of properties to be made available to the universities of Campania.
The meeting also served to take stock of the courses to be installed, on which a strong spirit of collaboration between the universities emerged.
The orientation is to establish a varied training offer - both university and professional - that responds to the needs and peculiarities of the territory, and which also sees Afam (academies, conservatories and fine arts institutes) as protagonists.
The one envisaged is a sort of school of arts and crafts, with courses in agriculture, botany, textiles, goldsmith's art, but also nursing sciences, physical and musical sciences;
a way to stimulate and launch the many talents, giving them a unique opportunity for growth.
The project on Caivano will serve as a model of action for other "forgotten or wounded" territories, such as the areas affected by the earthquakes of recent years or by natural disasters such as floods.
