On Sunday, a romantic walk through the city aimed at all lovers, whether they are married or not yet, touching some symbolic points, churches, monuments and even Lucio Dalla's house.
The following day, a mass and a gala dinner reserved for singles.
They are two events organized for 11 and 12 February by the parish church of Santa Maria della Carità in via San Felice in Bologna and by its parish priest, Don Davide Baraldi, in collaboration with the Family Pastoral Office.
It is not the first time that, on the occasion of Valentine's Day, the parish is characterized by new initiatives dedicated to love in its universal value "open to all, engaged, separated, remarried, without forgetting singles, absolutely everyone, we have always faced various shades", recalls Don Davide.
In 2022, the willingness to welcome homosexuals to meetings on love also made the news.
"The message that the bishop (Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, ed.) wanted to give since his arrival in Bologna is that love is a universal thing, which allows us to also become sensitive to spiritual experiences, to deepen the sensitivity of the human soul - he explains Don Davide - therefore he always wanted us to be able to intercept everyone through love, so that no one would be left out. Sacramental issues are one thing. In John's first letter we read that 'he who loves has known God' and it is not said who loves in a certain way. .. Let's start from the universal feeling of love and try to make everyone feel included and welcomed."
