A storm is approaching: mild temperatures, occasional rain and wind will dominate the country over the next few days.
Will winter come again after that?
Frankfurt – Once in December, once in January, also once in February?
We're talking about the onset of winter in Germany.
Because the current winter appearance seems to be over for the time being.
“That’s over.
The big weather change will come to us on Monday,” predicts Dominik Jung, weather expert in Germany.
“A lot of storms, a lot of rain, a lot of mild air.”
The white-covered landscape seems to be yesterday's snow after just a few days.
But will she come back?

The onset of winter is over: Mild temperatures are forecast in Germany
First of all, enjoy the sun while it's still here.
Sunday (January 21st) will probably be dominated by the color gray - lots of clouds, the first rain in the north at times, temperatures between three and nine degrees, as the German Weather Service (DWD) forecasts.
Heavy rain is expected on Monday (January 22nd).
In southeastern Germany, slippery roads due to freezing rain cannot be ruled out.
However, black ice chaos is not expected in the last few days.
But the wetness doesn't come alone - a strong wind creates uncomfortable conditions, especially on the North Sea.
Strong gusts, sometimes hurricanes: The German Weather Service warns of a lot of wind in the coming days
The new weather trend is bringing mild temperatures to Germany.
Snow will thaw throughout the week due to rain and rising temperatures.
Instead, strong gusts of wind, even hurricane-like gusts, can be expected on Wednesday, January 24th.
The North Sea and the mountains are particularly badly affected, warns the German Weather Service.
At the end of the week the wind will die down again.

It is becoming apparent that January will bring neither snowy winter weather nor beautiful spring weather.
Although a cooling trend is expected towards February, temperatures are still mild and above zero degrees.
Weather in February: A lot of precipitation expected - including snow?
And February itself?
An onset of winter is not in sight for now.
A warmer climate is predicted compared to the long-term average from 1991 to 2020.
The trend over the next few weeks with temperatures above zero degrees appears to be continuing.
Therefore, according to weather expert Jung, an “onset of winter is unlikely” at the beginning and middle of next month.
However: a lot of precipitation is expected.
Significantly more than in previous years and throughout Germany.
In what form, whether wet or white, remains to be seen.
“A cold winter phase cannot be ruled out,” says Jung.
