2024-02-02T16:40:38.065Z

Highlights: Amanda Lear says she uses molecules that stop the process of aging. The singer takes NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) and resveratrol every morning. The first ingredient is one of the new areas of experimentation in anti-aging medicine and cosmetics. The FDA does not allow NMN to be marketed as a dietary supplement, although many manufacturers sell it. The second active ingredient is already well known in the beauty industry, just like Dr David Sinclair, who is renowned for his research against aging.

In an interview with Gala, the singer revealed the astonishing rejuvenation treatment she is undertaking against the signs of aging.

According to sources, she would be 84, 77 or 73 years old.

If she leaves the mystery surrounding her age, Amanda Lear assures her: she does not want to resort to the scalpel to appear younger.

“Whoa, no!

I never do a facelift.

I’m too afraid of surgery,” she declared in an interview with

Gala

magazine published in the February 1, 2024 issue. And to warn skeptics about this in advance: “You can send a doctor to get he won't find any scars.

Instead, Salvador Dalí's muse says she uses other less invasive elixirs of youth.

“I am in contact with Dr. Sinclair, from Harvard, a specialist in aging who works on molecules that stop the process,” she reveals, citing in particular NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) and resveratrol.

“I take it every morning and it’s incredible, I’ve stopped aging.

I have an energy that I didn't have seven or eight years ago,” she says, without specifying in what form she requested these two products.

Molecules of eternal youth

The first ingredient the actress talks about, nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), is one of the new areas of experimentation in anti-aging medicine and cosmetics.

This derivative of vitamin B3 turns out to be a fuel for the production of enzymes which play an essential role in maintaining the balance of metabolism and in DNA repair.

For now, its use is controversial and its effectiveness has not yet been proven, as clinical studies in humans are still limited, with most existing research relying on animal trials.

To date, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the food and drug regulator in the United States, does not allow NMN to be marketed as a dietary supplement, although many manufacturers do. sell, touting its alleged properties against the signs of aging.

The famous Australian biologist from Harvard Medical School is renowned worldwide for his research against aging.

In particular, he developed an exclusive anti-aging patent with the cosmetics brand Caudalie based on resveratrol, which largely contributed to the popularity of this antioxidant present in vine shoots.
