“Never again is now”: Under this motto, a broad alliance is calling for action against right-wing extremism in Fürstenfeldbruck.

Fürstenfeldbruck - A broad action alliance wants to stand up against right-wing extremism and for democracy on Saturday, February 10th.

The “Never again” campaign takes place on the Amperwiese behind the town hall of the Fürstenfeld monastery area.

The campaign should work like this: The participating citizens distribute themselves to the letters of the slogan “Never again” for a light signal.

As darkness falls, everyone shines their cell phones or flashlights upwards.

The glowing lettering is photographed by a drone and the FFB district sends a bright sign of democracy to the world.

The alliance

The alliance consists of: City of Fürstenfeldbruck, Bürgerstiftung eV, Historical Association FFB, Federal Nature Conservation District Group FFB, Caritas, DGB, GEW, Social Forum Amper, One World Center FFB, Alliance FFB colorful-not brown, Sonnensegler Energy Cooperative, BBV, ÖDP, SPD, CSU, FW, FDP, The Party, The Left and the Greens.

Reason

“In times of increasing social division and attacks on our democracy, it is more important than ever to take a stand.

This applies not only to civil society, but also to politics and business,” the alliance said in a statement.

It's encouraging to see how many people across Germany are currently taking to the streets for democracy.

“They show that we are not powerless.

If we stand together, we can achieve a lot.” Mayor Christian Götz supported this idea spontaneously and, above all, unbureaucratically, it is said.

The process

About the process: the alliance asks participants to come from 5 p.m.

Helpers on site take over the briefing.

Even when it is bright, people should spread out across the letters.

If more people come than fit in the letters, a large circle is formed around the lettering.

A first recording is then made on a trial basis.

As soon as it is really dark, all participants turn on their cell phone flashlights or normal flashlights and shine them upwards into the sky.

From there, images of the glowing lettering are taken using a drone.

The drone will fly slightly to the side of the crowd in order to meet safety requirements and not endanger anyone.

The action alliance asks that you come to Fürstenfeld Monastery by bike or public transport if possible.

The parking lot may still be busy due to an event taking place beforehand.
