The act is said to have occurred on Tuesday (January 30) on a stretch near the village of Pervomaiski in Russia's Tambov region, writes

According to this, a Russian set a relay cabinet on fire and thus paralyzed the railway line.

The Atesh Movement, a partisan group fighting Vladimir Putin's regime, gave details on Telegram.

Missile transport prevented: Russian is said to have paralyzed train routes in Russia

“An agent of our movement carried out sabotage on the railway near the settlement of Pervomaisky,” the group wrote on the social network.

As a result of the arson, use of the railway was stopped.

According to Atesh, the route was intended to “transport missiles to the arsenal of the Russian Aerospace Forces (military unit 14272).”

As evidence, the group shared pictures and videos, including the coordinates of the destroyed object.

Other partisans apparently had a hand in it when a Russian military transport was destroyed by explosions in December 2023.

“We have been exploring the routes and logistics plan of the enemy military freight trains for a long time.

The preparation was worth it.

We thank the agent for his work,” the guerrilla movement continued.

One member told the

Kyiv Post

that the named agent was a citizen of the Russian Federation but did not work for the railway.

“He has been working with us ideologically and proactively for some time.” He received no money for his efforts.

He was only paid for consumables, such as the [explosive] mixture, the Atesh representative explained.

Atesh partisans are said to be responsible for numerous acts of sabotage in the Ukraine war

The Atesh partisans actively support Kiev in the Ukrainian war.

The group is said to have been founded in September 2022 by Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars suffering from the Russian occupation of Crimea.

Around 1,000 fighters are now said to be active.

Atesh was responsible for numerous sabotage operations behind the front, her spokesman Mustafa Dzemilev once told the British

Guardian

.

They are also said to have been active in the run-up to the Ukrainian offensive in Crimea last September, for example by bribing Putin's officers in order to obtain the exact locations of Russian ships and military facilities.
