Big topic: Penzberg has been concerned with mobility for a long time - not just on the busy Bahnhofstrasse, where vehicles, cyclists and passers-by meet.

The city of Penzberg is launching its mobility concept.
The specialist offices are already working and the work should be available in December.
There was criticism in the city council about the pace and the selection of those involved.
The city council has repeatedly warned about it, and now it has started: the Penzberg mobility concept is being created.
The procedure was presented at the most recent city council meeting.
The public launch event is on Wednesday (February 21st).
Look at everything together: cars, pedestrians, cyclists and public transport
The city has “various challenges” when it comes to mobility, as Verena Zeidler from the Karlsruhe consulting firm PTV Transport Consult explained the need for the ambitious project.
The aim is “a strategic concept for at least ten years” – an overall package that analyzes problems and strengths, offers a mission statement including goals and provides a priority list with key areas of action.
It is important not to look at the problems separately - car traffic, pedestrians, cyclists and public transport are connected, says Zeidler.

It's about the big picture, not the details
However, anyone who expects something specific will be disappointed.
It was said that it was a handout for the municipality for a longer period of time.
It doesn’t make sense to work out measures “in the smallest detail,” said Zeidler.
Implementation is “a matter for the administration”.
The city councilors learned that further modules such as cycling concepts, household surveys, and traffic surveys can be booked optionally.
Starting with an information event
The public kick-off event for the mobility concept is on
Wednesday, February 21st, at 5:30 p.m. in the town hall
.
The procedure is presented and citizens can contribute their issues.
The concept consultants started in November.
An advisory board, including clubs, interest groups and representatives from the district and neighboring towns, has been formed and is scheduled to meet for the first time on February 8th.
There is a project group within the administration.

From AWO to Roche: Selected interview partners
And interviews are ongoing with selected interlocutors: Pro Downtown, Roche, the “ÜberMorgen” association, the ADFC district association, AWO Penzberg and the climate advisory board.
“Sources of information” that are important for planners were heard from Lisanne Pucher from the consulting agency “DialogWerke” in Stuttgart.
The public is “very central,” emphasized Pucher – and announced an online survey (February 21st to probably April 1st).
Time is running out.
It is a “very tight project,” as Zeidler emphasized with a view to the planned submission in December.
Carl-Christian Wippermann from the environmental department in the town hall spoke of “deadline pressure”.
City council wants to have a say
A prospect that not every city councilor liked.
“Speed” should not influence the quality of the concept and the parliamentary groups should “absolutely” be included as discussion partners, warned Armin Jabs (BfP).
Christian Abt (CSU) and Hardi Lenk (SPD) criticized the composition of the only six interview partners and saw a need for discussion.
Wolfgang Sacher (BfP) called for the city council to be more involved as a decision-making body.
Consultant Pucher assured what was happening in “various places”.
