A 40-year-old man was
arrested
in El Palomar in the context of the case for the murder of
María Lucrecia Arias (50)
, the woman shot to death in an assault committed eight days ago when she arrived with her daughter at her home in
Castelar
. .
The suspect had the victim's cell phone in his possession.
The raid was carried out by members of the 7th police station.
from Morón in an address located at 2500 Manuel Fluguerto Street, in the Buenos Aires town of Castear, where the cell phone stolen from the victim was recovered: a Samsung brand smartphone, model A33 in black.
The detainee was identified by sources as
Diego Fernando Tevez (40)
, who for the moment will be charged with two crimes: "homicide criminis causa" - killing to hide another crime and achieve impunity -, and also for "aggravated concealment." , for having the cell phone in his possession, which is an object stolen from the victim.
"We were not clear at what time or how they took it, but
we knew that the victim's cell phone had been stolen
. Even though they had changed the line, we managed to track and recover the phone that was active and working with another SIM card. ", a judicial source explained to Télam.
The one in El Palomar is not the only raid carried out in the last hours for this murder, since the prosecutor in the case, Matías Rappazzo, from the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 7 of Morón, and the detectives from the Departmental Delegation of Investigations (DDI) of that district are targeting a gang from the Army of the Andes housing complex in Ciudadela, better known as "Fuerte Apache."
The crime was committed on January 25, around 11 p.m., on 2070 San Nicolás Street, a few meters from the intersection with Salcedo, in Castelar Norte, in the western area of the suburbs.
The victim was murdered when he arrived home in Castelar.
Arias was returning aboard her Volkswagen Suran from looking for her daughter at a gathering of friends, when she was intercepted by four criminals who approached her to steal her car at the door of her home.
The main hypothesis that Rappazzo uses is that Arias' seat belt apparently got stuck and she could not immediately get out of the car when the criminals threatened her for robbery purposes, which is why they shot her in the back.
The victim's daughter, for her part, managed to get out of the vehicle and escape while shouting for help from the neighbors, so she was not hit by any projectile.
The assailants escaped without being able to steal the victim's Suran, but later, the black Peugeot 2008 in which they were believed to have been traveling was found abandoned in the area of the Ejercito de los Andes neighborhood.
March to ask for Justice after the crime of María Arias.
From the scene and the victim's car, the experts collected fingerprints and traces, while at the same time they seized images from security cameras in the area, which will be analyzed to advance in the identification of the criminals.
Additionally, based on the evidence collected, investigators determined that the woman was killed with a shot fired from a 9 millimeter caliber pistol.
The autopsy determined that Arias had a single gunshot wound with an entry hole in the scapula and exit in the chest.
