In 1997, Charles M. Huber was seen for the last time in the popular crime series.

But why did he get out at all?

He has now revealed this and is making serious allegations against the ZDF production.

After a year-long break: Charles M. Huber is celebrating his TV comeback

Charles M. Huber can be seen on TV again.

On February 1, 2024, the 67-year-old will celebrate his TV comeback in the ARD Passau crime thriller “Give for Gold” (8:15 p.m.).

“It's a bit like coming home.

Back to the roots.

I grew up in Lower Bavaria,” the actor tells BUNTE.

In 1986, Charles M. Huber was seen for the first time in the ZDF hit series “Der Alte”.

After playing Detective Inspector Henry Johnson for a year, the guest role finally became a leading role.

In 1997 it was over.

He then pursued international roles and became involved in politics.

He has been a member of the German Bundestag for the CDU since 2013.

But why did Charles M. Huber actually leave “The Old Man”?

“The Old Man” drama: Colleague knows how much Rolf Schimpf has earned and says “something is fishy here”

The fate of Rolf Schimpf (99) shocks not only former fans, but also many of his “Der Alte” colleagues and long-time friends.

After Jutta Kammann (79) has already spoken, Charles M. Huber (67) now speaks.

The longer Charles M. Huber deals with the drama surrounding his long-time friend, the more skeptical he becomes.

Serious allegations: Charles M. Huber “racially insulted” on the set of “Der Alte”

Charles M. Huber has now explained this again very clearly.

“Because a member of the production staff insulted me racially.

I then left the set and shortly afterwards the series,” said the actor in the BUNTE interview.

If he had stayed, he would have resorted to a slap in the face and that would have “conformed to the stereotype of the violent black man,” continued Charles M. Huber.

“That would have been the end of my career.

Well, that came a little later.

Now I'm starting again."
