The police chief says it's lucky that no one was hurt.

Würzburg - The Lower Franconia police are investigating people who dumped piles of hay and manure on streets early on Thursday morning (February 1st), thereby blocking traffic routes.

It is suspected that some farmers may be responsible for these actions, police said on Thursday.

The Würzburg criminal police are investigating the case on suspicion of dangerous interference with road traffic and possible environmental crimes.

Farmers protest: dumping of manure and liquid manure, truck tires on fire

According to police, farmers across Germany were called upon to protest against authorities and offices, particularly by dumping manure and liquid manure.

In Lower Franconia, among other things, the entrances and exits of roundabouts on the B13 were blocked, making passage impossible.

The access routes to the B19 were also obstructed at several points by piles of dung and bales of straw.

Unknown people set a truck tire on fire on the B303.

The roads were cleared again by the fire department and road maintenance departments.

Police chief finds clear words: “Clearly goes too far”

The police strongly warn against actions that endanger traffic.

“I say clearly and clearly: Anyone who creates obstacles on roads where high speeds are sometimes permitted and thereby endangers others is clearly going too far!

We can count ourselves lucky that no one was injured,” said Lower Franconian police chief Detlev Tolle, according to the statement.
