45% of Israelis prefer to go to the elections now if there is a ceasefire in the fighting in the Gaza Strip - this is according to a Maariv survey today (Friday).
Most of those who support the elections are Yesh Atid voters - 80% of them agree on this.
Among the voters of the state camp, 57% support going to the elections, as do about a quarter of the Likud voters.
The survey also shows that 28% of the survey participants support maintaining the current government composition, including more than half of the Likud voters.
17%, including mainly state camp voters, prefer a unity government with the participation of Yesh Atid and Israel Beitenu.
The state camp and the opposition bloc are weakened by two mandates.

According to the survey, the state camp party fell to 38 seats this week, two less than a survey conducted a week ago.
Likud gains two mandates and rises to 18.
Yesh Atid continues to weaken and drops to 12 mandates - a low of the last year.
Yisrael Beitenu and Otzma Yehudit are getting stronger in the mandate, and Torah Judaism is decreasing in the mandate.
Accordingly, the coalition strengthens by two mandates to 46 and the opposition drops to 69.

The survey was conducted for Ma'ariv newspaper by "Lazar Researches" led by Dr. Menachem Lazar in collaboration with the Panel4All.co.il internet panel of respondents. The survey was conducted between January 31 and February 1, 2024 and was answered by 511 respondents who are a representative sample of the adult population in the country Israel from the age of 18 and over, Jews and Arabs The maximum sampling error in this survey is 4.3%.
