Honest insight from Thomas Gottschalk: In Europa-Park Rust, the showmaster revealed what significance this place has for his current love and what role Carmen Nebel played in it.
Rust – Thomas Gottschalk (73) is still on cloud nine: The former “Wetten,dass..?” showmaster has been in a relationship with his Karina (62) since 2019, but even five years later the love seems as fresh as ever ever.
The 73-year-old recently proved this once again at an event in Europa-Park Rust (Baden-Württemberg).

There the cult presenter was awarded the “Golden Fool’s Bell” by the Association of Swabian-Alemannic Fools’ Guilds on Wednesday (January 31st).
The award stands for a special sense of humor that Thomas Gottschalk undoubtedly brings with him, according to the reasoning.
Of course, the 73-year-old accepted the award personally and came to Rust with his girlfriend Karina Mroß.
There the entertainer then gave an acceptance speech in which he also talked about the venue itself, as shown by a video recording on “Exclusiv – Das Starmagazin” (RTL).
Gottschalk associates a formative event with Europa-Park: six years earlier he met his Karina here - and helped a little with getting to know them: "I was supposed to sit next to Carmen Nebel, but then I thought I'd swap the cards," revealed the TV favorite in his speech.

“What’s the pretty one’s name?” he asked in advance, Thomas Gottschalk continued.
Finally, the television entertainer took advantage of the moment and sat down next to his current love - an unforgettable moment that the two of them still remember fondly to this day.
However, his actual seatmate had to do without him that evening: “Then Ms. Nebel sat next to someone else,” Gottschalk reported with a laugh.
Thomas Gottschalk was actually supposed to sit with Carmen Nebel during an event in Europa-Park, but then decided on his own initiative to sit next to his current love, Karina.

Despite his big farewell to ZDF, the showmaster will also be in demand in 2024.
However, his big departure in November did not only cause joy: In addition to Bernhard Hoëcker's (53) criticism of the “Wetten, dass...?” farewell, talk show host Frank Plasberg (66) also didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about Thomas Gottschalk's final words.
