It’s a breath of fresh air for the French in these times of inflation and high cost of living.
It is now much easier to change your home loan insurance.
Indeed, the reform of the Lemoine law has made it possible since June 2022 to change insurance at any time - subject to equivalent guarantees - and no longer on the anniversary date.
The result is substantial savings for customers, on average between 5,000 and 10,000 euros.
This reform
“is a real success”,
recently welcomed the Financial Sector Advisory Committee (CCSF), attached to the Bank of France, which has just published an initial assessment of the law.
The number of terminations increased dramatically from 100,000 to 180,000 between 2021 and the first half of 2023, according to the CCSF.
We understand that a change of insurance can be done online in a few clicks, providing a certain number of supporting documents.
