The long-planned large day care “Kräuterkrinpse” in Bad Heilbrunn has finally started.

There are still a few places available for child care.

Bad Heilbrunn - Good news for parents in Heilbrunn: After a year and a half of searching and many setbacks, the long-planned day care started yesterday in the guest's house.

“We are very happy that we have now found these three great ladies,” said Heilbrunn’s mayor Thomas Gründl at the start of the large day care in the guest’s house.

“Kräuterkrinpse” childcare has finally started in Bad Heilbrunn: there are still a few places available

It was originally planned that a childminder would move into the former guest information center on Wörnerweg, but she backed out in August 2022.

Then a large day care facility run by “Sira Childcare gGmbH” was supposed to start in the building in April 2023, but it failed due to a lack of staff.

The community then started looking for staff on its own - but without success for a long time.

Now the problems seem to have been solved.

The reason for this was an idea that Dietlind von Plettenberg put forward at a local council meeting in April 2023.

The daycare center manager advocated displaying the banner “Skilled workers wanted” at the entrance to the town.

This has proven itself in other communities - and now also in Bad Heilbrunn.

“I regularly drove past this sign,” says educator Julia Kammerlochner.

“Then I thought to myself: Bad Heilbrunn is so beautiful.

It would be great to open a large day care center there.” Her enthusiasm grew further when she found out that the building is right next to the herb park: “Lots of nature – that’s exactly what I like.” The large day care center also gets its name from its proximity to the herb park thanks: “Herb tots.”

Carers of the “Kräuterkrinps” have plenty of educational experience

The trio has a wealth of educational experience.

Kammerlochner has already worked as a teacher in a kindergarten and a crèche.

Martina Syrowatka is a childcare worker and was recently on parental leave for five years.

“Now I wanted to work in a small, family-run institution again – and this offer came to me.”

Similar with Helena Haunschild, a trained special education teacher and childcare worker.

As a mother, she had a “care problem” in Bad Heilbrunn: “So I thought I would join Julia.

Then I can look after my daughter myself until she gets a place at kindergarten.”

Ten children are looked after in the guest's house - two places still available

The plan is to look after up to ten children between the ages of twelve months and three years in the guest's house; there are currently two places left.

Opening times: Monday to Thursday from 7.15 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 7.15 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The three educators are employed by the municipality and look after the children together in an external room - a difference to childminders who work at home.
