The Digos of the Turin Police Headquarters this morning at 7 am knocked on the doors of the
Askatasuna social center
in Turin to notify twelve
precautionary measures, residence obligations and expulsion orders

As far as we know, the activists are accused of resisting and injuring a public official and throwing objects in relation to the clashes that broke out during the May 1st 2022 procession in the Piedmontese capital.
Just in recent days the mayor of the Piedmontese capital, Stefano Lo Russo, presented a co-management project, approved by a council resolution, which will effectively lead to the legalization of Askatasuna.

There are 25 people reported in total, among these are the historic leaders of the social center in Corso Regina Margherita 47. The head of the investigation is the
prosecutor Davide Pretti

Four of the twelve precautionary measures were notified to Askatasuna activists already convicted for the attack on the Industrialists' Union in February 2022.
Digos investigations have led to the identification of the people who, at the head of the 'social segment', clashed with the police on May 1st 2022 in via Roma, in the center of Turin, in an attempt to overcome the security cordons , to reach Piazza San Carlo and contest the interventions of the unions and institutions.
During the riots, the police were hit with sticks and with bottles thrown at them.
Thirteen officers were injured.
It is not the first time that Askatasuna has gotten into trouble for riots that broke out on the sidelines of Labor Day.
It had already happened in 2019: on that occasion, members of the Democratic Party and members of the PD security service were attacked.
Four people were injured, thirteen precautionary measures were taken and 40 people were reported.
