A serious head-on collision occurred in Lower Franconia with a total of five vehicles involved.
Four people were injured.
Karlstadt – A serious accident occurred in Lower Franconia on Thursday evening, February 1st.
The reason for this was probably a fatal overtaking maneuver by a small van on federal highway 27 between Himmelstadt and Karlstadt, Main-Spessart district.
Serious accident in Lower Franconia – a small van wanted to overtake two cars
According to initial, as yet unconfirmed, information from the scene of the accident, the accident occurred when a van attempted to overtake two vehicles in front.
There was a head-on collision with an oncoming VW Tiguan.
As the incident continued, the two vehicles, the van and the VW Tiguan, then crashed into two other cars.
The fifth vehicle involved was damaged by debris from the serious accident.

Head-on collision after a fatal overtaking maneuver: minor outcome
Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident - a very mild outcome to the serious accident.
According to initial information, four people from different vehicles were injured and taken to hospitals, while two other occupants remained uninjured.
