The asphalt on the A94 keeps bursting.
Everything is completely normal, says the operator.

The asphalt had to be repaired again on the Isental motorway - currently in the section between Lengdorf and Pastetten in the direction of Munich.
The highway is only a few years old.
What's going on there?
Lengdorf/Pastetten - It is operated by Isentalautobahn GmbH.
Their managing director Anton Maier confirms the damage and attributes it to the extreme weather in December.
“It was snowing heavily, we had freezing rain and extreme differences in temperature.” This led to “water seeping into the top layer of asphalt through the smallest cracks and causing it to burst in places when it frosted,” explains Maier.
The damage was repaired immediately.
“Unfortunately, this cannot always be prevented when there are strong temperature fluctuations in the thin-layer covering,” regrets the managing director.
The phenomenon of frost heaves can also be observed on other motorways and streets.
