Defense Minister Yoav Galant today sent a very strong message to Hezbollah.
In his assessment of the situation after a tour of the Hermon Brigade, Gallant said: "If Hezbollah thinks that when there is a ceasefire in the south, it will cease fire and we will stop - it is making a big mistake. I am saying here explicitly - as long as we do not reach a situation where the residents of the north can be safely returned, We will not stop. When we reach it, either through the series or through military means - we will be able to be calm."
During the tour, the Minister of Defense received an overview of the activities of the alpinist unit in Hermon.
He met with the soldiers of the unit and talked with them about the activities during the war.

At the end of the assessment of the situation, the Minister of Defense said: "Even here, in the northernmost corner of the State of Israel, on Mount Hermon - IDF forces are present, protecting, prepared, patrolling and are on full alert.

second effort, according to Gallant, is the civil effort: "It is of the utmost importance.
We met with the heads of the authorities, who are responsible for civil order, and we are directing this situation towards a possible return, when we decide that this is safe."
