The one I probably secretly feared.
The return of the ancestral humiliation of not being able to prevent your child from being murdered in cold blood.
The surging memory of pogroms and the Shoah.
I, who was undoubtedly one of the least "shoatic" Jews, hating the exhibition of suffering and pathos, advocating modest mourning and above all abhorring the Nazification of all dramatic events, this Shoah imposed itself on me, who could only use the term “Islamo-Nazi”.
My life was built on the conscious and assumed happiness of having a proud refuge for my loved ones...
