Oberbergkirchen

- The church in Schwindkirchen could have been three times as big - and still not all of the mourners would have been able to find space to say goodbye to Veronika Schaidhammer from Loipfing in the municipality of Oberbergkirchen.

Great mourning for Veronika Schaidhammer – altar boy, firefighter and member of the traditional costume club

Representatives and friends of the fire department, the Wasentegernbach traditional costume club, the Oberbergkirchen-Zangberg music club and many folk music fans came.

They heard the comforting words of Pastor Martin Ringhof as well as fine folk music from friends.

Among other things, with a piece of music that Vroni wrote himself.

Everyone stood by the Schaidhammer family in their great sadness for Vroni, who was torn from our world in a tragic accident at the age of 25.

Veronika Schaidhammer was born on October 26, 1998 in Mühldorf.

Her childhood through the first two years of elementary school was carefree with her extended family.

In 2007 the Schaidhammers moved to Loipfing in the municipality of Oberbergkirchen.

There she went to elementary school and received First Holy Communion.

She enthusiastically served God as an altar server and then served people in the youth fire department.

The traditional costume club in Wasentegernbach was added later.

She loved the animals she was allowed to grow up with, especially her pony.

She loved the camaraderie of the altar boys and the fire department.

After graduating from secondary school, she completed training as a bank clerk.

Because of her love for music and especially folk music, Vroni then attended the vocational music school for three years, where she was able to live out her musical talent.

Several years previously she had been a participant in the southeast Upper Bavarian youth meeting “Volksmusi mag i” in Waldkraiburg.

With her talent, Vroni learned to play several instruments and enjoyed singing and dancing.

At the age of 17 she organized a folk dance evening in Mettenheim.

She played with her Ziach in several music groups and invented her own pieces of music.

She was involved in the music school Musikfreunde Oberbergkirchen/Zangberg after work and was active in the club as a cashier.

Above all, she also supported her parents in their own business, got her truck driving license and, a little later, the traffic manager exam at the IHK.

The traffic specialist should follow next spring.

Her commitment to her parents' business was great, her sense of duty and hard work were exemplary.

Now she leaves a big gap here.

“We will always be connected to you”: An emotional farewell to Vroni

However, her commitment to her job was exceeded by her love of music, especially genuine folk music.

Music, especially the Styrian harmonica, was a center of her life.

Music grounded her.

Veronika was an extraordinary, cheerful young woman.

With her cheerful, open manner, her irrepressible energy, her wit and ingenuity, she inspired other people to be happy.

In the last three years there has been a new center: her life partner, like many, stood at her grave, stunned by her sudden death.

Music gave Vroni Schaidhammer a lot of joy, and she gave others a lot of joy with it: at school, with older people, at parties and celebrations, in a group of musicians, and even at work.

She connected people with her music.

“Music connects” was written on the wall in her room.

“We will always remain connected to you, dear Vroni,” writes the district heritage association for folk music and customs.
