Hannelore and Heino always wanted to attend this event together.
After the death of his wife, the pop singer is now doing it alone.
Vienna – Heino (85) and his Hannelore (†81) were an unbeatable couple for over four decades.
She was his biggest supporter and when she died in November 2023, the pop singer's world collapsed.
In order to honor her memory, he is now fulfilling a wish that she would have liked to make come true with him during her lifetime.
Heino at the Vienna Opera Ball: Hannelore had always wanted to see the event
On February 8th it's that time again.
Then the rich and famous attend the Vienna Opera Ball and this year Heino is also there.
As the pop singer's manager, Helmut Werner, announced on January 31st that Heino would also be a guest there this year.
He is said to have accepted the invitation of the German entrepreneur Markus Deussl and attended the state ball for the first time.
It is Heino's first big appearance since Hannelore's death and at the same time a kind of reminder of his wife, who always wanted to go to this ball.
The musician explains: “Hannelore actually wanted to go to the opera ball with me several times, but unfortunately it never happened.
Now I’m 85 years old and I’d like to experience this event too.”
He is happy to now have the opportunity and also thanks his host: “I am grateful to Markus Deussl and Helmut Werner that I can experience this again and I am looking forward to a good time, with both a laughing and a crying eye Vienna."

Markus Deussl thought something of inviting Heino to the Vienna Opera Ball right now: “I would like to see the great folk singer laugh again.
It’s certainly not an easy time for Heino at the moment, so a little change is a lot of good.”

Heino is also being looked after a lot by his family and those around him.
When Hannelore died in November 2023, manager Helmut Werner only announced the news a week later to let the singer mourn.
“Heino and all of us are in deep sadness.
It was Heino’s express wish to be able to say goodbye to his beloved wife in peace and quiet.”
Heino continued his church tour pretty soon anyway, because the fans also give him strength.

: “I feel the affection and compassion of my fans at the concerts, for which I am very grateful.
They give me support and confidence.” He wants to continue singing for them for a few more years.
Speaking of Heino: The pop star moves back into their shared house in Kitzbühel a few months after Hannelore's death.
