In May there will be a lively celebration again this year at the Lohhofer Volksfest.

Innkeepers, breweries and illustrators are there again.

The official poster has now been presented.

Unterschleißheim - At the Lohhofer Volksfest in May, the city is relying on proven staff: Angelika Fontenot and her son Enrico Pfleghar are supposed to entertain the guests.

After the big anniversary last year, the 71st round continues: The celebrations will take place at the Volksfestplatz from May 17th to 26th.

How much will the beer cost?

The festival hosts already know, but didn't reveal the price at the press event.

But it should be Augustiner again - that sold well.

And the poster also has a good look: for the seventh time in a row, it was created by the well-known Unterschleißheim illustrator and artist Alfons Kiefer.

He developed the trademark in retro style: his posters impress with their sympathy and dynamism.

The traditional costume and the blue-green background are typical; this is what the people of Unterschleißheim can tell at first glance: This is about our folk festival.

It's the details that matter

One motif is enough to represent the special Lohhof feeling.

This time it's a boy in leather pants with a traditional hat.

He carries a huge teddy bear under his arm, a red balloon with the inscription “150 Years of FFU” and a portion of cotton candy.

A gingerbread heart hangs around his neck: “I love you,” it says.

And then there are the roasted almonds.

“Two fell on the floor.

But you only see that at second glance,” says Kiefer: “The boy is a little overwhelmed with the handling.” He is so overwhelmed by the many attractions.

Grandson was godfather

A loving detail and a scene as if taken from life.

This time too - as with all previous posters - the actor is a real Unterschleißheimer: “My grandson is the godfather,” Kiefer reveals: his name is Lukas, he is seven years old and lives in the same house as his grandfather.

Kiefer has lived in Unterschleißheim since 1981.

He works internationally and is currently drawing a poster for a James Bond film, “without Photoshop or AI.”

And yet he is down-to-earth: he trains football at SV Lohhof and loves the family atmosphere in the city.

“Just yesterday a friend approached me while I was shopping.

If you’re ever looking for a sponsor for a poster, my wife and I are ready.”
