During the night of last Saturday to Sunday, a bloody knife brawl occurred in Méru, in the southwest of Oise.
For reasons that remain unclear, a 19-year-old young man was the victim of several stabbings in front of his home, the attackers then fleeing, abandoning him there.
The attack “occurred on January 28, around 1:30 a.m.,” said Loïc Abrial, Senlis public prosecutor, in a press release.
The Méru gendarmes were called following a stabbing attack committed by several individuals.
The victim was seriously injured, particularly in the chest.
»Taken care of by the emergency services, she was airlifted to the Amiens hospital center with “a vital prognosis”.
The victim's life would no longer be in danger
Following these facts, the judicial investigation was opened by the Beauvais public prosecutor's office before being transmitted to the criminal division of the Senlis judicial court.
“
Following the acts committed in Méru to the detriment of a young man aged 19, a judicial investigation was opened on Thursday, February 1, at the Senlis criminal center for attempted assassination,” adds the prosecutor.
On Tuesday January 30, the investigation carried out by the Méru company search brigade led to the arrest of two men, aged 18 and 21.
“They are both suspected of having participated in this attack and were taken into custody by the Méru gendarmes,” said the prosecutor.
During their hearings, they contested their responsibility in the occurrence of these criminal acts.
Presented this Thursday to an investigating judge from the Senlis criminal center, they were indicted for
assassination attempt
and placed in pre-trial detention.
