This castle has a history of almost a thousand years.
It was shaped by many princes and architectural styles: Today only a few walls remain of Arnsberg Castle.
Arnsberg - There were once countless rooms here, gilded princely rooms and towers that rose into the sky: where today only the ruins of Arnsberg Castle in the Sauerland bear witness to its long past, Westphalia's center of power once lay - high up on the Schlossberg , 256 meters above the city.
Nevertheless, the ruin is also important for posterity.
As a biotope, it now offers endangered animal species a valuable habitat.
