The nine members of the Constitutional Council dealt a very serious blow to the credibility of their institution by censoring, last week, most of the immigration law.
The legal reason behind which they took shelter does not hold water: who can seriously think that limiting family reunification or extending the time limits for accessing certain social assistance would not contribute to better immigration control?
Yet this is what they claimed, asserting, to better censor them, that these measures were unrelated to the original object of the law.
