After the setbacks experienced by users of line 14 in January, it is the turn of another automated line to experience incidents disrupting its traffic.

On Friday, line 1 of the Paris metro first saw the circulation of its trains interrupted between Porte Maillot and La Défense for a resumption of traffic estimated at 6 hours, following an “incident affecting the track at the Esplanade de la Défense.

But as the minutes passed, the resumption of traffic was pushed back to 6:30 a.m., 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 9 a.m., then now 10 a.m.

Furthermore, the RER A also experienced malfunctions with interrupted traffic between Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy and Bussy-Saint-Georges due to an “electrical failure in Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy”, indicated the account X (formerly Twitter) of the RER A. All trains therefore stop at the Bussy-Saint-Georges terminus.

The resumption of traffic on this axis is estimated at 9:30 a.m. but traffic remains “disrupted on the rest of the line”.

On Thursday, RER B traffic experienced complications due to a strike by SNCF agents, notably demanding salary increases.

Only one train out of two was running on the northern axis of the RER B, while three trains out of four were expected in the South.
