Regensburg - After investigations by the Regensburg criminal police, it was revealed that a woman made false claims about an alleged sex crime in Fürst-Anselm-Park on Friday, January 19th.
“The woman now has to answer for pretending to commit a crime,” says the police press release.

However, the thorough investigation and evaluation of the evidence by the Regensburg criminal police brought various discrepancies to light.
For example, a witness was identified who was near the alleged crime scene at the time of the crime.
“However, he did not make any observations that would confirm the woman’s claims,” said the police.
“There were also contradictions between the woman's statement on video recordings and the evidence.” During a further questioning by the criminal police, which took place on Friday (February 2), she was confronted with these contradictions.
She admitted to providing false information.
