There is great regret about the farewell in the parish association

There was great regret about his departure after it was announced that he had taken on a new position in Oberammergau and would become dean in Werdenfelser Land.

Great regret was expressed in all speeches on Sunday after the celebratory service with Dean Peter Dietz and deacons Hans Steiner and Michael Koch in the crowded parish church of St. Johann Baptist and the subsequent reception in the auditorium of the Bergkirchen elementary and middle school.

The gratitude for unforgettable shared experiences and sermons was overwhelming.

The extremely popular, humorous and unconventional priest was honored for hours.

The flag delegations from veterans, shooting clubs and fire departments lined up as they entered the school auditorium.

An estimated 200 churchgoers and numerous guests of honor came.

Often spontaneous decisions without meticulous planning

Head of Administration Florian Preißer moderated and found very personal words for the fruitful collaboration.

Spontaneous decisions were often made without meticulous planning.

The Protestant pastor Gerhard Last from the Friedenskirche in Dachau called Hack “an impressive personality” in terms of stature and charisma.

He recalled the joint preparations for ecumenical weddings.

Hack has become a friend to Bergkirchen Mayor Robert Axtner.

“Above all, a man who has made outstanding contributions to our community, an incredible pastor and a great person.” Axtner presented Hack with a picture in memory of Bergkirchen.

Hack was known beyond the district for the legendary weddings he celebrated, so that he, Axtner, as community leader, was often told that Bergkirchen's great popularity was thanks to the following: Gada, Mayor Simon Landmann and the pastor.

Mayor Wolfgang Hörl thanked the community of Schwabhausen with the Oberrother Nuss-Stecken - a stick carved out of walnut on which a lunch bag can be hung.

Hack also received a papal cloak, the so-called Mantello, as a gift from the parish association and the Schwabhausen community.

Hack received many more gifts and good wishes from all sides,

At the end there was an opportunity to say goodbye in person.

But before that, Schorsch Brummer, as the sexton from Feldgeding, expressed his good wishes in rhyme.

Inspired by Hack's "Saturday Thoughts", Florian Preißer and Michael Koch performed 14 humorous Gstanzl - one for each year - in which they dealt with special events in the parish association.

Hack’s “humor and humanity” were expressed here again.

Hack will be missing.

According to Preisser, it cannot be said when the position will be filled.
