Guest this Saturday on “On refait la télé” on RTL, he explained that he took control of “Dancing show” for the money.

At the time, Anthony Kavanagh had been the victim of malicious people and had been heavily taxed by the French public treasury.

“For six, seven years, I had the total.

The accountants who took care of me, an international firm that I will not name, did not take care of my affairs.

And I found myself, through their fault, having to pay very dearly to the French government, a small control which cost me very dearly

,” he explained.

In debt, Anthony Kavanagh therefore had no choice but to accept the proposal from the producers of the dance competition.

“I do it because you have to pay and I didn’t necessarily want to do it.

If I hadn't needed money, I wouldn't have done it even if I loved

[Jérôme, NDR]

Revon and

[Stéphane]

Gateau who were great guys

,” he added.

During his year spent at France Télévisions, the Quebec comedian was notably able to make the comparison with TF1.

“France 2 is:

“Here we have the license fee so we don’t have the pressure of audiences, patati, patata”

.

Afterwards I had comments: “

A TV host doesn't wear earrings, a TV host can't say that, can't do that...”

I told them:

“Wait, it's me whom you hired or someone else?”

So there was always, always that.

They cut me off, they asked me to apologize, pff..."

, he said before admitting:

"I was very, very unhappy at France 2”

.

But that's not all.

Anthony Kavanagh also deplored

“the somewhat unionized side”

of France 2.

“The TF1 press officers are available almost 24 hours a day.

At France 2, it was - at the time, perhaps that has changed - 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., they are no longer there, we can no longer speak to them as soon as there is a problem.

And then, there was this false family side that there isn't on TF1, it's clear: you attract audiences, we love you, you earn money, you don't make money, jack, we'll deactivate your access badge.

You know when you go there, they are not your friends

,” he concluded.
