Kim Virginia doesn't exactly treat Mike Heiter squeamishly in the RTL jungle camp.

Now Mike's mom Astrid is finally fed up.

Cologne/Murwillumbah – For days, viewers of “I'm a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” have been witnessing how reality star Mike Heiter (31) is being bullied by Kim Virginia (28) in the jungle camp.

The 28-year-old doesn't take kindly to her ex and doesn't skimp on accusations and insults in front of the camera.

Now Mike's mother Astrid Heiter stands protectively in front of her son in an RTL interview and makes a clear announcement to Kim Virginia.

Jungle camp candidate Mike Heiter: That's what Mama Astrid thinks of Kim Virignia

“Mike is not doing well with it and I have already experienced days where I thought my son would like to escape,” Astrid Heiter explains in an interview with RTL the situation her son is currently in.

She feels clearly: “The situation is unbearable for him.” For her, Kim’s behavior is the real jungle test for the 31-year-old.

“I think he has already overcome one of the most difficult trials,” Mike’s mother continues, admiring his perseverance.

“And to stay calm with so much attack that he had.”

For Mike's mother, the spiders, snakes and numerous creepy crawlies are not the problem for the IBES candidates. In her opinion, Kim is "the most dangerous creature" in the jungle camp.

“I would like to tell Kim that she should leave my son alone because I don’t want it to have such an impact on him,” Astrid Heiter explains further.

Her biggest concern is “that he will have difficulty connecting with other women because he will be so bullied by her.”

Mike Heiter's mom has sympathy for IBES candidate Leyla

The jealousy drama between Kim and Mike gained momentum when the “Are You The One?” star flirted with fellow camper Leyla Lahouar (27).

Most recently, Mike and Leyla got physically closer during a massage - much to the suspicion of Kim Virginia, who obviously hasn't really let go of her ex-flame yet.

Leyla, on the other hand, seems to be better received by Mike's mother.

“I find Leyla likeable,” admits Astrid Heiter.

Nevertheless, she doesn't want to put the flirt on the balance straight away.

“Mike has to decide alone who he wants to enter into a relationship with and who he doesn’t,” says Astrid.
