Briton Simon Yates added the Al-Ula Tour to his list of achievements on Saturday, sprinting ahead of three survivors of the last climb to win the fifth and final stage of this race held in Saudi Arabia.
As he hoped, the Briton from the Jayco Alula team took advantage of this last stage, which was more favorable to climbers, to catch up in the general classification (27 seconds on Friday evening).
He was ahead of the Belgian William Junior Lecerf (Soudal Quick-Step) and the New Zealander Finn Fisher-Black (UAE Team Emirates) in the sprint, who also took second and third places overall, three seconds behind.
