Highlights: Four murals from Val-de-Marne nominated for Golden Street Art. The ten works with the most likes by Sunday, February 4 at 8 p.m. will advance to the final. Last year, a fresco from the town of Morlaix (Finistère), entitled “Message in a bottle”, won the Goldens Street-Art 2022. The 2023 edition is rather well followed on social networks, with 540,000 views and 53,000 “likes” accumulated on the different photos.

Four gigantic murals painted on facades in several towns in Val-de-Marne could reach the French final

The works are masterful, and imbued with aerial allegories.

In Villeneuve-Saint-Georges for example, on a ten-story facade visible from Avenue du Président Kennedy, a 33-meter snowy egret elegantly imposes its gigantic silhouette painted in white flowers.

In Chennevières-sur-Marne, it's a swift that cuts through a purple sky, manga style;

in Champigny-sur-Marne, a young girl perched on a branch, paper butterflies in her hair.

The only one to deviate from the theme, the Kremlin-Bicêtre fresco is part of realism with this sketch of a child sticking out his tongue.

These four works compete in the Goldens Street-art, a competition exclusively on Facebook which rewards the most beautiful murals in France.

This diving swift is the work of the Gabonese artist Kalouf, and can be admired at 4 Villa d'Anjou, in Chennevières-sur-Marne.

“There are the Césars for films, the Victoires for music, and the Molières for theater… so I decided to create the Goldens for Street-art!

», enthuses Lionel Gripon, amateur photographer and creator of the site trompe-l-oeil.info, “the largest French database of street-art photographs”.

This year, the tenth edition of “Golden Street-Art”, an annual competition taking place exclusively on Facebook, invites Internet users to vote (by clicking “I like”) for their favorite works from a pre-selection of 55 mural frescoes unearthed almost everywhere in France.

“I work with a whole network of passionate street art photographers like me, who travel throughout the country in search of gems,” explains Lionel Gripon.

The ten works with the most likes by Sunday, February 4 at 8 p.m. will advance to the final.

This mischievous child was painted by the young artist Clément Hermann, at 5 rue Pierre Brossolette in Kremlin-Bicêtre.

The winning fresco among the ten selected will be the one which obtains the most points awarded by the votes of Internet users and those of a jury selected by Lionel Gripon.

Thus, Internet users wishing to defend the frescoes of Val-de-Marne have until Sunday to vote.

Last year, it was a fresco from the town of Morlaix (Finistère), entitled “Message in a bottle”, which won the Goldens Street-Art 2022. The 2023 edition is rather well followed on social networks, with 540,000 views and 53,000 “likes” accumulated on the different photos in the competition, according to the organizer.
