Wackersberg – The 141st anniversary of the Wackersberg craftsmen’s association was very well attended.
After the memorial service, the members gathered at the “Altwirt” for the annual general meeting.
The election of a new board of directors was also on the agenda.
A routine affair for those present, there was no speculation about changes in leadership.
But things turned out differently when returning officer Klaus Braun Sr.
called for a vote: After 27 years, Josef Waldherr no longer ran for the office of secretary and found his successor in Max Wastlhuber (“Kammerer”).
Hans Kaltenhauser also no longer stood for election as vice-chairman.
The majority of members expressed their confidence in Thomas Rinner.
However, there was particular astonishment when chairman Sepp Waldherr did not stand for re-election.
Waldherr had led the club with a lot of effort and commitment over the past nine years.
The previous chairman thanked him for the always good support and assured: “It was an honor for me to be able to lead the Wackersberg craftsmen's association.” With Georg Buchberger, Waldherr also introduced a possible candidate to take office.
The meeting then gave its approval.
Treasurer Andreas Simon reported higher expenses than income in 2023, but was still able to read out a very good cash balance.
Waldherr: “I am in favor of using money in accordance with our statutes.” The general meeting ended with numerous honors.
