The ex-president is talking himself into a rage during the US election campaign and is increasingly losing track of things.

At the end of October, Donald Trump appointed Viktor Orbán as President of Turkey during a campaign speech.
The mistake was quoted with relish on the Internet, but what was left out was that Trump corrected it after 20 seconds.
He accurately described Orbán as the head of government of Hungary.
To this day, the episode is seen as evidence of how uninformed the once most powerful man in the world is.
Now the topic has a different undertone.
The mix-up is now interpreted as an indication that Trump (77) is deteriorating mentally.

Observers recently counted seven moments in which he confused Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama.
The appearance in which he attacked his Republican opponent Nikki Haley, but in reality was obviously referring to the Democrat Nancy Pelosi, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, also caused a stir.

Trump stories are a guarantee of media attention.
Those who deal with his difficulties usually fare best.
This echoes the wishful thinking that perhaps things will really get tough for Trump, who has so far survived the biggest scandals unscathed.
US election campaigns demand everything from candidates - this also applies to Donald Trump
The theory of mental decline does not necessarily have to be correct.
Typically, such theories come from people with a vested interest in making Trump look bad, those exploiting their previous closeness to him, or experts in remote diagnosis.
The truth is that images of an exhausted politician are not a sensation.
The US election campaign is an ordeal that demands everything from the candidates and also explains many a failure.
It happens again and again that the energy suddenly drops backstage.
With Biden, his team is likely to be careful to ensure that such images do not make the rounds.
With Trump, however, it cannot even be ruled out that they are part of the calculation.
After all, your message can also be read differently: as “I will fight for you until you are completely exhausted”.
