The war against Hamas murderers continues in full swing.

The IDF is deepening its grip on the Gaza Strip, and after the cities of Gaza and Khan Yunis, they are already marking the following targets in Israel: Deir al-Balah and Rafah, in the center of the Gaza Strip and in the south.

In the area itself, even in the area where the IDF dismantled the fighting units of Hamas, terrorist squads remain, and as in IOS, they try to harm IDF forces and even continue to launch missiles at Israel. But for all intents and purposes, Israel maintains practical control of the Strip, certainly on the course of life of its inhabitants, and its ability to permit or prohibit the movement of people and goods, construction and restoration of the ruins and any other civil activity.

The Al-Aqsa Flood, the Arabic name for Hamas' terrorist and murderous attack on Israel, has long since become a flood of Gazans fleeing their homes in areas where the IDF is operating against Hamas terrorists. The UN agencies report that about 1.9 million people, about 85 percent of the residents of the Gaza Strip abandoned their homes and moved south.

As we know, it is difficult to trust the UN agencies, since over the years they have worked hand in hand with Hamas and helped it establish and maintain its rule in the Strip. In addition, many of these bodies invest all their energy in maintaining the Palestinian refugee problem, rather than in solving it.

But even if the actual numbers are much lower and we are only talking about a million and a half or even a million Gazans who were displaced from their homes, it is clear that Hamas has unleashed an unprecedented disaster on the residents of the Gaza Strip.

Many of them, it must be admitted, followed him with closed eyes, supported him and celebrated with him the murderous terrorist attack he carried out on October 7.

But when things concern Israel and its struggle against its enemies, the world is alarmed.

Even our American friends express concern for the fate of the civilian population in the Strip, and even exert unceasing pressure on Israel so that it eases the plight of the Gazans, accepts responsibility for meeting their needs, and even undertakes to return them to their homes while the war continues.

It is doubtful whether the welfare of the residents of Gaza is what is in front of the eyes of Israel's critics, because if they cared about the Gazans, they would have worked long ago to remove the rule of Hamas, which brought disaster after disaster upon their heads.

However, the criticism of us is often motivated by hatred of Israel, as well as the desire to help Hamas get back on its feet.

The reality of refugees and displacement due to war is a common phenomenon in the world and is not unique to the war imposed on us by Hamas in the name of the residents of Gaza.

Data from the United Nations itself show that there are more than 110 million people in the world who were forced to leave their homes, and of these, about 35 million, half of whom are children, are defined as refugees, that is, those who have nowhere to return and many of whom live in refugee camps.

With these we can count 6-8 million refugees who fled Syria during the last decade.

More than half of them still live in tent camps in Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon.

And to these must be added millions of refugees from Afghanistan, South Sudan and Myanmar.

It is doubtful whether the welfare of the residents of Gaza is what is in front of the eyes of Israel's critics, because if they cared about the Gazans, they would have worked long ago to remove the rule of Hamas, which brought disaster after disaster upon them

The countries of the world and the UN agencies will therefore respect each other and first of all solve the plight of the millions of refugees from Syria or Afghanistan before they condemn Israel or pressure it to compromise on its security needs. In the case of these refugees, many of the countries of the world have mobilized to take them in. But the Palestinians are nobody want, and apart from that - such solutions do not help the enterprise of perpetuating the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, in which, and not in solving the conflict, the UN invests all its energy.

The Palestinians are paying the price of the war that Hamas imposed on Israel in their name.

We need to help the civilian population in Gaza and alleviate their plight, but this can be done - over months and years - in the tent camps in the southern Gaza Strip, thus allowing the IDF to continue to act against Hamas.
