Sometimes, the happiness of one can in turn cause the unhappiness of others.
This is a bit like the feeling experienced by wrestler Kendra Dacher during the World Championships in Belgrade (Serbia), in September 2023. A few minutes after being narrowly beaten (4-2) during the -72 kg small final. by the Japanese Miwa Morikawa, her teammate in the French team Koumba Larroque won the bronze medal in -68 kg, synonymous with a ticket for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. “I was happy for her but I realized at the same time that my chances of qualifying in this category were reduced to nothing, confides Kendra Dacher.
We had to bounce back quickly and adapt.
